Paying redundancy? The amount of redundancy pay has increased

Redundancy Pay and Unfair Dismissal

Employers need to be aware of increases to the amount of an employee's weekly earnings that count towards statutory redundancy pay.
From 1 February 2009, the amount has risen from £330 to £350.
There are also changes to the basic and compensatory awards for unfair dismissal.
Increases can be found on the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform website.
